Description
My artworks are based on my memories, sketches, recorded audio fragments, and photos were taken during time spent in faraway places. Mostly captured in parts of the African continent during my journeys in nature conservation. In my latest paintings, I reflect on my experiences with a community of the Fulani people in the remote Boé region, during their annual cultural celebration on the first of May. During this evening they come together in their most magnificent suits to eat, sing and dance together. An authentic spectacle.
