This painting was part of the ‘Thirst’ exhibition. A series of personal artworks portraying different states of transformation. Various techniques have been used such as pencil, acrylic ink, wax crayon, and Indian ink. This painting comes with a white wooden frame. Sri Yantra is an interpretation of the mystical diagram. The triangles represent the cosmos and the human body. Together they represent the totality of the cosmos and express Advaita or non-duality.

Aching cravings. A hollowing back.
Like a cat, she stretches.
A pumping chest.
When the numbness faded.
A fire was lit.
Too long she waited.
A living dead.
She sought impatiently.
All scattered and cracked.
Rose from her ashes.
and never looked back.
Swallowing suns.
Snakes crawling up and down her spine.
To dance in order to survive.
To live with the tides.
There she was in the mirror.
No longer blind.
To attract and repel.
It was all in her mind.
You can’t catch her, cage her.
